Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
Q. Why is it important to provide my pet with daily supplements? A. Veterinarians and researchers recommend providing pets with supplements (just as our doctors recommend daily supplements for us) because our food often does not provide sufficient nutrients to fuel the body, maintain good health and help reverse the symptoms of disease.
Q. I only feed my pet once a day. Why do you suggest that I feed my pet your supplements twice a day? A. We actually recommend feeding your pet his or her food and supplements twice a day. The body can better digest and absorb nutrients when presented in smaller, multiple feedings.
Shipping and Order Processing
Q: How much will I be charged for shipping? A: .Shipping charges are based on the total dollar amount of your order. We don't mark up shipping costs or charge handling fees.
You can view an estimate of shipping costs by viewing your cart. Final shipping costs will be displayed on the invoice you’ll see before confirming your order.
Q: How can I view the status of my order? A: Click on “View your account” at the top of any page and sign in (if you haven’t already done so). This page lists your account history. Simply click on the date of the invoice you’re researching and you’ll be able to see the status of the order.
Q. How are orders shipped? A. We ship Priority Mail for almost all shipments. For larger orders (usually 10 pounds or more), it’s more economical to ship via UPS.

Q. How long will it take for me to receive my order? A. It’s our policy to ship orders within 24 hours of receipt. Priority Mail orders take 2-3 days.
Q. Do you ship outside the U.S.? A. Yes, we do. If you’d like to know the postage charge before you order, please send an email to jeff@simplyhealthypets.com.

You'll notice the payment site address starts with "https". The extra "s" indicates that an additional encryption/authentication layer is active. This method is widely used for security-sensitive communications. Additionally, we cannot access your payment information. We receive an acknowledgment of your payment, but do not see your credit card number or other information. This is for your protection and security.
Q. When is my credit card charged? A. Your card is charged when your order is placed. This is done automatically by the online payment service we use. In most cases, your order will ship within 24 hours of your placing the order. You’ll be contacted in the rare instance an item is not available or is back-ordered.
Product Questions
Daily Vita/Min Q. How do I feed Daily Vita/Min to my pet? A. Start small, about ¼ capsule hidden in food or a favorite treat. Peanut butter, baby food or yogurt make terrific masks. With very small pets, you may start with extremely small amounts. Too much of any multi-vitamin can result in loose stool.
Q. Why do you use a safety cap on the bottle? A. Daily Vita/Min contains iron which can be toxic to children if ingested in large quantities.
Daily-C Q. How do I feed Daily C to my pet? A. It’s best to dissolve the powder in a small amount of water (tsp / tbsp) and then mix that into the food or whatever you are hiding the other supplements in. This reduces the naturally occurring tartness characteristic of Vitamin C. As with Daily Vita/Min, start with a low dose and build up.
Q. Dogs already make their own Vitamin C. Why do they need more of it? A. That’s true, but they only make about 250 mg a day – that is, assuming they are healthy and well nourished. Clinical studies show that pets may need and benefit from up to 2000 mg per day.
Q. Why does the Daily C powder foam when I mix it with liquid? A. Natural Vitamin C may foam/bubble/effervesce as the Vitamin C and liquid mix. This is expected and is not a problem; just mix it in.
Daily-G Q. How do I feed Daily G to my pet? A. The Daily G softgel can be moistened (it goes down pretty easy this way) or it can be punctured and mixed into peanut butter, baby food, yogurt or hidden in turkey or other meats.
Q. I’ve been reading some negative stories about feeding garlic to dogs. Are these stories true? A. While garlic has indeed come under attack, it’s mainly due to confusion with the onion’s reputation for triggering hemolytic or “Heinz factor” anemia (where circulating red blood cells burst) through its high concentration of thiosulphate. With onions, a single generous serving can cause this reaction. However, garlic contains only a traceable amount of this compound and it is and readily excreted from the body.
When used in its recommended dose, garlic has for centuries been proven to be highly beneficial for both humans and their pets.
Q. All the other Garlic products have Brewer’s Yeast. Why doesn’t yours? A. While Brewer’s yeast does have Vitamin B in good quantity and also has a ‘sweet’ taste which pets find desirable, it is not digestible. Unfortunately, this waste product creates extra stress on the kidneys, so the trade off is not nutritionally justified or sound.
Yucca Q. How do I feed your Yucca formula to my pet? A. Dilute the indicated dosage with enough water, apple juice or other juice to ensure it is swallowed. As this is a bitter herb, do not serve it to your pet in undiluted form. Cats may foam at the mouth if it is not sufficiently diluted; if this occurs, simply dilute it more the next time.
Q. My pet weighs less than 10 lbs. How much do I give? A. Feed your pet one drop twice daily. The body will eliminate what is not used/needed as the formula is water-soluble.
Q. When can I expect to see results? A. Usually within 12-24 hours. In extreme circumstances, it may take up to 48 hours.
